It is uncertain if Einstein actually made that quote, but the premise is clear – we cannot build, operate and expand the same way we always have, in light of the increasingly negative impacts on ourselves and the planet.
While we believe that profit and the planet can be exclusive, fusion energy, wireless energy transmission and interplanetary colonization technology is far from mature. In the meantime, we need Better Systems in this Changing World, relying on innovative approaches and three dimensional thinking to grow while producing a positive impact on the planet.

Tenaga Consulting is an independent employee owned engineering consulting firm, based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The firm was founded with a mission to provide professional engineering services to drive decarbonization and efficient operation of the built environment and industrial facilities. We strive to do this while maintaining or improving service levels specific to each project – including occupant comfort, quality and/or production.
Tenaga Consulting is agile – as a small company, we can take on small scopes to help add capacity and expertise where needed to push projects forward. We emphasize quality, collaboration, flexibility, and customer satisfaction, eschewing the prescriptive, static and expensive approach of larger firms with high overheads. We also frequently collaborate with partner firms across Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia to deliver multi-disciplinary projects at scale.
Tenaga means Energy in Bahasa Melayu, the official language of Malaysia, where the Founder grew up.

Jo is a mechanical engineer commencing his career in 2011 as an engineering consultant in mechanical engineering, energy efficiency and decarbonization. He has experience working in this field in Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. He has delivered projects across the full lifecycle from studies, detailed design and implementation. His areas of expertise includes HVAC, Building Automation Systems, compressed air, industrial refrigeration and steam systems.
He is also passionate about marine conservation, scuba diving, personal finance, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (however, passion and skill do not align for BJJ).
